October 13, 2024 - 10am
The pool lighting was damaged during the storm. Until we are able to get the lighting fixed, for the safety of our members and staff, the pool hours at John Geigle - NP YMCA will be adjusted to 7am-7:30pm Monday-Friday. These hours are subject to change. Please check YMCA 360 and Facebook for updates.
October 12. 2024 - 9am
Good news! The Greater Palm Harbor YMCA will open at 9am, Saturday, October 12th. We are still working to prepare our pool and outdoor areas. Please follow us on social media and download YMCA 360 (our app) for real-time updates.
October 10, 2024, 3pm
We hope you and your families weathered the storm safely. We are working with our staff teams to assess damages to our YMCAs and the following is our current re-opening plan:
- Citrus YMCA - Will open for normal business hours Friday, October 11th.
- Clearwater Y in Motion - Will open for normal business hours Friday, October 11th.
- John Geigle - NP YMCA - Will open at 9am Friday, October 11th.
- Pool and tennis/pickleball courts will remain closed.
- Hernando County YMCA - Will open at 9am Friday, October 11th.
- Greater Ridgecrest YMCA - Will open at 9am Friday, October 11th.
- James P. Gills YMCA - Will open at 9am Friday, October 11th.
- Greater Palm Harbor YMCA - Without power - will remain closed.
We are happy to welcome you back to our branches. Please note, some areas may be closed due to impact from the storm. All schedules and programs are subject to change.

October 8th, 2024.
Due to the uncertainty of the impact of Hurricane Milton and the unknown of the aftermath, we have made the decision to keep our YMCAs closed through Thursday, October 10th to give our staff time to recover and assess the impact the storm had on our branches.
We do not anticipate this being a prolonged closure, and our greatest hope is to have our branches open and ready to serve you on Friday, October 11th.
October 7th, 2024.
In the interest of our community, staff and members, the John Geigle YMCA in North Pinellas will be closed all day Tuesday. For all other locations we are closing YMCA of the Suncoast pools tomorrow, Tuesday, 10/8, at 11 AM and all branch locations will close at 12 PM. All branches will remain through Wednesday, 10/9.
School Age Program Updates
Our school-age programs follow the lead of the school districts.
