Give your child a strong start with the YMCA’s early learning programs. Our nurturing Infant, Toddler/Preschool and VPK programs provide a safe, engaging environment where children build confidence, develop essential skills and foster a lifelong love of learning. Through age-appropriate activities, caring teachers and a focus on social, emotional and academic growth.
Early Learning Readiness
The Greater Ridgecrest YMCA and the Citrus County Family YMCA offer a free Early Learning Readiness (ELR) program. This program is an evidence-based initiative for children aged 0–5 and their caregivers, designed to prepare children for school through play-based learning. It focuses on building physical, verbal and social skills in an informal setting. The program also helps caregivers learn how to support their child's development at home.
