Donate to the YMCA of the Suncoast
The YMCA of the Suncoast launches its annual campaign on Wednesday, March 1, to ensure that everyone from Largo to Crystal River has access to vital community programs and resources that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
"The YMCA of the Suncoast works to ensure all individuals have the support they need to achieve their full potential," said G. Scott Goyer, President and CEO of the YMCA of the Suncoast.
"We work to strengthen our communities serving more than 90,000 people to provide services addressing critical social issues such as our early learning readiness program at the High Point Y and and our Diabetes Prevention Program."
Last year the YMCA of the Suncoast raised nearly $1.6 million for individuals and families in need. Funds raised also support the Y's Diabetes Prevention Program, LIVESTRONG and the Early Learning Program that prepares kids to be ready for kindergarten.
LIVESTRONG serves people, like David of the North Pinellas YMCA, affected by cancer and empowers them to reclaim their health and well being.
Last year, charitable gifts from YMCA donors also made it possible to help families and kids in need to attend summer camp and after school programs.
All YMCA of the Suncoast locations will host various kick-off events. To learn more about how you can support the Y's cause, please contact Teresa Hibbard, Vice President of Philanthropy at 727 467 9622, email thibbard@ymcasuncoast.org.
