Teen Leaders Dedicated to Ecycling

Our Teen Leaders Clubs are doing something great for the communities they serve by recycling electronic devices. The club is partnering with eCycle Florida to provide each YMCA of the Suncoast location the weekend of April 29-30, with several 4x4x4 bins to collect recyclable items (see list below). For every pound collected the club will receive 15 cents.

Tired of staring at your old, obsolete electronic devices? eCycle Florida will take them from you and recycle them so their components and materials can be reused. 

Bins will be placed in a handy drop-off location — look for the signs! We’ll accept these things:

• Computers • Hard drives • Circuit boards • UPS battery backups

• Printers • Copiers • DVD players • Flat-screen monitors

• VCRs • Earphones • Modems • Satellite receivers

• Cable boxes • Routers • Telephones • Keyboards/mice

• Laptops • iPads/tablets • Kindles and electronic book readers

• Medical electronics • USB cords • Batteries • Video game consoles

WHAT NOT TO DROP OFF: CRT monitors/television sets; paint/varnish; household batteries; glass light bulbs.

WHEN: Saturday, April 29, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday, April 30, noon to 4 p.m.
