On Tuesday, November 29, charities, families, businesses, community centers and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. The YMCA of the Suncoast is mission-driven to strengthen the foundations of community.
#GivingTuesday™ is a national movement to encourage philanthropic activities that support nonprofit organizations like the YMCA. This #GivingTuesday, we are focused on strengthening the communities we serve.
Here's where you can help:
$15 gives a child one hour of one-on-one tutoring in our programs.
Just $20 helps close the achievement gap each day for a child who is homeless.
For some kids, the meal served in the Y's afterschool program is the only meal they have each day. Give ten meals to children for a gift of just $25.
Everyone! #GivingTuesday™ is a public movement and we encourage everyone to get involved. It is a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your community and your company to come together to give something more. Then tell everyone you can about how you are giving. Be part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity.

Do I have to wait to give?
#GivingTuesday™ is just "the opening day of the giving season." Giving is a lifelong commitment, and a giving day is a special celebration, a reminder to all of us to think of others and our communities as well as ourselves. The YMCA of the Suncoast encourages giving back throughout the year, whether through donations, volunteering or in whatever other ways we can. #GivingTuesday™ is more than a moment, it's a movement.
