Summer is a time for fun, friends and adventure! At the YMCA of the Suncoast, we are proud to offer every child a safe space to make memories that will last a lifetime. At the YMCA, kids learn teamwork, leadership and resilience as they take part in a variety of programs and activities like swimming, sports, arts and crafts and MORE!
We are also proud to offer every child the opportunity to try something new while building character through activities based on the Y Core Values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
However, not every child has the opportunity to attend a YMCA summer camp due to financial barriers.
Vice President of Youth Development, Beth Gettig shares, “Summer camp is more than just a fun way to spend the summer – it’s a safe place for children to try new things and create lasting memories.”
She adds, “Unfortunately, financial barriers can prevent some children from attending camp, but thanks to our generous donors, we are able to provide these life-changing opportunities and ensure that every child can experience the adventure of our YMCA summer camp.”
