Baseball leagues and programs at the Y are designed to teach young baseball players the fundamentals of the game. Participants will learn how to catch, throw, and bat in a fun team atmosphere. For example, the Hernando YMCA offers youth baseball in Brooksville, Spring Hill and all of Hernando County. In addition, the Clearwater Y offers youth baseball in Clearwater, Largo and Safety Harbor.
YMCA of the Suncoast Youth Basketball is open to kids ages 3-18, with developmental programs, basketball tournaments and leagues running year-round. Our youth sports programs encourage and promote healthy kids, families and communities by placing a priority on family involvement, healthy competition and sportsmanship. The emphasis is on participation over winning.
Do you have team spirit? YMCA Cheerleading offer girls the chance to get active and have some fun cheering on their favorite YMCA Youth Sports teams. Cheerleaders will build self-confidence and self-esteem while developing social skills and healthy relationships with other girls.

Youth flag football programs at the YMCA are recreational programs designed for youngsters new to the sport of football as well as those not quite ready for tackle football. The Y flag football program is geared toward players who want to learn how to play the sport, brush up on the rules, tactics and skills, improve their game and most importantly - HAVE FUN!
Students are led through a class of exercises, stretches, Isshinryu Karate techniques, and practical self-defense to encourage a confident and humble demeanor. Younger students learn about self-discipline, awareness, and to always honor their parents.
At the YMCA of the Suncoast our soccer leagues are designed to develop fundamental skills while learning teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship. Skills taught include kicking, passing, dribbling, shooting, and the rules of the game. The focus of the league is to have fun, meet new friends and play soccer in a non-competitive environment.
The YMCA of the Suncoast offers specialized tennis lessons and programs for kids and league and/or tournament play for adults. The Y's tennis program is all about fun, friends, fitness and learning this lifetime sport! Whether you're attempting to hit your first forehand, playing your first match, or preparing for an overhead smash, you'll love the classes we have.
Our youth volleyball programs not only teach the fundamentals of the game, kids meet new friends, build character and self-esteem and learn the importance of teamwork. Children will work on underhand serving, setting, hitting and digging in a fun, non-competitive environment.
Kids and teens are invited to participate in youth training programs for fitness and to focus on skills and drills. Starting at age 10, young YMCA members can exercise in select group fitness classes!
