Employee Events

September 15 to October 15 celebrate LatinX Heritage Month with the YMCA. Join free events across Greater Seattle. National LatinX Heritage Month is celebrated each year from September 15 to October 15. It celebrates the culture and recognizes the contributions made by those whose ancestors came from Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, South America and Spain.

CITRUS: HSI Instructor Certification

This course will certify participants to become HSI Instructors for YMCA of the Suncoast.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be certified in Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED and First Aid for the Community and Workplace through HSI. This is a YMCA of the Suncoast training where instruction and certification are included in the class fee.

HERN: Lifeguard Crossover v7

Employee Events

This course is designed to provide participants the knowledge and skills necessary to be a lifeguard and professional rescuer. Participants will be certified in American Safety and Health Institute’s (ASHI) courses: CPR Pro (BLS) for the Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid for the Community, and Emergency Oxygen Administration.
