He is one of the most genuine and selfless leaders at the YMCA of the Suncoast. Seth Milbrand is leaving our Association after eight years to join the YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg as Chief Operating Officer.
Seth, who is our District Vice President, oversees the Greater Palm Harbor branch. He has been with the YMCA for 21 years. During his Suncoast tenure, which ends at the end of this month, he provided leadership to the John Geigle, Palm Harbor, Clearwater and Ridgecrest YMCAs as well as many Suncoast initiatives.
Tom Button, COO, YMCA of the Suncoast shares, “having the opportunity to work with Seth for close to 20 years I have had the privilege to see the growth in his career. Seth's relentless efforts to impact the communities he serves as well as his support to his staff have helped to make our YMCA stronger and the communities we serve better. This is a job well-deserved!”
Seth began with Suncoast as an Executive Director and has been our District Vice President since 2018. He shares a few Suncoast Y highlights.
“One of the things I'm most proud of is the number of team members who have furthered their careers including promotions to Executive Directors. I got to serve the staff team and community in new, unique ways to get through the pandemic. And led the Greater Palm Harbor Y and community through the $4 million expansion.”
What will he miss the most?
“I'll miss the relationships with colleagues, volunteers and members but am thrilled to continue these in different ways since my family and I will not have to relocate for my new role.”
Congratulations Seth! You will be missed!
