It’s a dashing start to the Christmas season! The 34th annual Reindeer Run hosted by the John Geigle YMCA on December 14, 2024, was a resounding success. The event, which is a festive 5k race raised $13,000. It was held at the beautiful John Chesnut Park in Palm Harbor benefitting the MASH (Mainstream Adults Sharing Hope) program for adults with disabilities at the John Geigle Y. The fundraiser saw over 300 people in attendance.
“MASH brings together adults with special needs for social fun and engaging activities. This year we had a visit from Santa at the Reindeer Run and the weather was perfect!” enthuses, Kari Grassia, who recently became the Executive Director of the John Geigle YMCA.
“This lively event is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit while supporting a wonderful cause. Thank you to all the sponsors, volunteers, participants and everyone who made this event a success.”
