A group of MASHers kicked off the 2020 Virtual Reindeer Run at John Chesnut Park on Saturday, Dec. 12.
The annual YMCA Reindeer Run benefitting Mainstream Adults Sharing Hope (MASH), a program of the North Pinellas YMCA which serves special needs adults and their families, went virtual this year, raising more than $12,000.
Participants had a week to complete their run and the Y even set up running groups to make it easier for everyone to get together. Participants could run with their favorite YMCA staff members and race sponsors.
“We missed all of the participants, but we sure were glad to see each other,” says Seth Milbrand, District Vice President, North Pinellas YMCA of the kickoff run.
The Reindeer Run is the program’s annual fundraiser for MASH, providing fun, engaging activities for participants throughout the year. If you’d like more information, please e-mail Healthy Living Director Jillian Coleman at jcoleman@suncoastymca.org.
