Youth Programs

Choi Kwang-Do

"Optimum Health, Self Defense and Personal Development" This martial arts program is designed to teach self-defense, discipline, health and all around well being. Participants will learn non-violent resolutions to conflict, greater confidence in themselves as well as self-discipline, respect for themselves and to each other.  The instructor and parents work together to help the children strive for excellence at school and at home.

Age: 6 and up
Fee: Members $50; $60 Non-Members
Schedule: Mondays & Thursdays, 4 - 4:45 pm, age 4-6
5 - 5:45 pm, age 6-14
6 - 6:45 pm, age 6-14
7 - 8:15pm, age 14 and up

Participants are able to choose any of the times above that best fit their schedule.

Parents' Night Out

Calling all children in K-5th grades!  Do you want an evening without your parents or parents, do you need a few hours away from your children? Then come on out to the Greater Ridgecrest YMCA, where your children will enjoy a night of swimming, food and guaranteed LOTS of fun.  Hurry in and sign up. Space is limited to the first 50 participants.  See member service desk for more information.

Age: kindergarten-5th grade
Fee: $10 per child

Greater Ridgecrest Swim Team

This program is for children 4 and up, they must be able to swim the length of the pool with no problems.  Please contact the branch for more information.

Age: 4 - 18
Schedule: TBA beginning in September
Fee/monthly: $30 Facility and Program Members; $35 Non-Members
