SilverSneakers Fitness Program
SilverSneakers Fitness Program is the nation’s leading exercise program designed exclusively for older adults. The basic SilverSneakers Fitness Program membership includes the use of all the Greater Palm Harbor Branch has to offer. Special SilverSneakers Fitness Programs exercise classes are available. The classes have certified instructors who guide participants through exercises that focus on strength, flexibility, mobility, range of motion, balance, agility and coordination to improve activities for daily living. Participants may sit or stand. Classes include SilverSneakers I and SilverSneakers II. Please join us every third Tuesday of the month at 12:30 for our seniors pot luck lunch. We kindly ask that you to bring a dish to share. Enjoy a lunch with friends, a raffle for some great prizes and guest speakers with interesting topics. M.A.S.H. (Mainstream Adults Sharing Hope)
This is a special group designed to create physical activity as well as socialization with other peers in the lives of adults with disabilities. The program's mission is to encourage and support single "challenged adults" to meet and socialize with their peers and to experience the enjoyment of friendship, fun and socialization. Mom's Morning Out
Enjoy your morning and let your children enjoy activities such as arts and crafts, circle time, music time, dancing. Please bring lunch and drink, socks, and closed toe shoes.

Parent's Night Out
Parents drop your kids off for some fun and have a night out for yourselves! Program includes pizza, drink, movie, and games. Please Note: Children must be potty trained.

Suncoast SwimFit
Suncoast SwimFit is a swimming program for all ages 19-100! Whether you are a competitive swimmer, a triathlete, cross training or looking for a low-impact exercise program, Suncoast SwimFit Program is for you! The program provides coached workouts, with an emphasis on stroke technique so that you can reach your fitness and swimming goals.
Limited Membership/Punch Card: $30 per 12-workout card for Facility Members; $40 per 12 workout card for Program Members
You may purchase your Suncoast SwimFit punch card at your local YMCA Membership Desk.

CPR/AED First Aid Certification Classes
Classes will be held at the Greater Palm Harbor Branch YMCA. CPR/AED certifications are valid for one year. First Aid certifications are valid for three years. Participants may attend CPR/AED portion only if they choose, but MUST register for entire course. Evening classes are two-part classes and participants MUST plan to attend both sessions for certification. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive American Red Cross CPR certification. Participant must successfully complete all skills and pass written test with 80%, for certification. For more information or to register for a class, please visit our Member Service Desk.

The Striders Running
Group
Whether you are a new or a seasoned runner, you will enjoy the benefits of the Palm Harbor Striders running group. This is a FREE service offered to our facility members.
The group meets every Saturday morning at the Dunedin Causeway, by the restrooms between the 1st & 2nd bridge, from 8:00 am- 9:00 am. This club is lead by George Doumanian, Certified Personal Trainer. The club regularly participates in local running and walking events around the area.
Volunteer Opportunities
We are actively and continually recruiting for the following positions. Please pick an area of interest and pick up a Volunteer Application at the front desk!
Kids Zone
Kids Zone Attendant: Interested in out-going and responsible volunteers to acquaint children with the rules and activities in the kids zone, take responsibility for the safety and welfare of each child, engage the children in positive playtime, initiate games and role play and read stories.
Kids Zone Programs: Need creative and self-motivated volunteers to assist the Kids Zone staff with Preschool programs, committing to creating a safe and fun environment for our program participants, work one-on-one with preschoolers encouraging them and guiding them during craft time, snack time, and playtime.
Aquatics
Make a Splash Swim Buddy: Looking for responsible caring individuals over the age of 16 to work with special needs children in an aquatic setting to encourage water safety. These “swim buddies” will provide a sense of inclusion to these children that fosters diversity and enhances their lives and our community
Assistant Swim Instructor: Seeking out individuals that are high school aged and up interested in entertaining young children in our Swim Lesson program by playing character building games with them while the instructor facilitates the lesson.
Youth Programs
Sport Coaches and Officials: Do you love sports and mentoring kids? Volunteer to coach a team! We are looking for coaches for soccer, basketball and flag football. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and able to commit for a whole season. Volunteer officials are also needed.
After School Activity Coordinator: Looking for adult role models to be a part of our team. Lead students in an after school club of your choice, possibilities include: cooking, photography, dj skills, model rockets, arts & crafts, etc. We have a small budget for supplies. We are only limited by your imagination.
Administration
Member Services Volunteer: Organized and detail oriented people are needed to join our Membership Services team! Tasks include greeting members, scanning membership cards for facility access, assisting with filing, photocopying, data processing, and organization of systems. Other activities may include assisting with bulk mailings, correspondence, and interacting with YMCA members as needed
Special Event Volunteer: We are looking for adult role models to be a part of our special event team. Help set up, clean up, and participate in special event programming at our YMCA branch and/or offsite. Special events include: International Day, Pool parties, Grape Escape, Kids Fishing Challenge, Annual Giving Campaign Kickoff, Member Appreciation Days, etc.
