Youth Leadership Pinellas
Youth Leadership Pinellas (YLP) is a joint program of Leadership Pinellas and the YMCA of the Suncoast. Leadership Pinellas is non-partisan and in no way is a political activist group. The daily operation, class organization, and program management of Youth Leadership Pinellas is managed through a partnership with the YMCA of the Suncoast.
Youth Leadership Pinellas is a seven-month program, operating from November through May. Participants meet for five full day sessions, plus an orientation retreat and graduation event. The program is run separate from any school-sponsored program.

This program includes a series of well rounded trainings in the area of physical education, healthy living, personal growth and values. Come join the fun meeting new people, volunteering, and just being yourself.

Sports Coaching
Interested in coaching? Do you like to be a team leader? Do you enjoy youth sports? The YMCA needs your help! You can make a difference in a child's life by being a volunteer coach! Your Help is Needed
All of the sports programs at the YMCA are volunteer driven. We utilize caring adults as coaches, referees and team parents. When signing your child up to participate, please consider helping where you can. Check out these great Volunteer Opportunities.
Jr. Referee Training
Age: 13-18
Need volunteer hours and enjoy sports? Train to be a Junior Referee at the YMCA. The program includes a referee shirt and whistle (upon completion of course) and an awards banquet at the end of the season. Teen Pick-up Volleyball
Teen volleyball is a non-competitive pick-up game of volleyball open to all skill levels. Come enjoy a game of volleyball for fun or come work on your spikes and serves with your friends.
Age: 13-16

Baton: Florida Twisters Club
Join the State Champs, Florida Twisters for a fun filled year of performances, parades, and competition under the direction of Cindy Ramsey. You will learn basic twirling skills that will enable you to become a future majorette. Teen Co-ed Soccer
A soccer program just for teens. This is a non competitive program and is open to all who would like to play. Come enjoy a game of soccer with your friends.
Age: 13 - 16
Schedule: Sundays, 3 - 4:00 pm
Fee/monthly: Free for Facility Members; $20 Program Members
YOUTH Swim Team
There are three levels for Youth Swim Team – Silver (ages 4-8), Gold (ages 9-12) and Diamond (ages 13-18). All swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool to be part of this program. Advanced level swimmers should know all of the competitive swim strokes. Children must be YMCA members to compete in meets and USA swimming registration is required for participation in some meets. Most Swim Meets are on Saturday. Competing in swim meets is not required. This is a great place to belong to a team, improve skills, meet new friends, prepare for high school swimming, or just to have fun! Come meet our coach! Coach Mike will be available to answer any specific questions you may have. Come to a practice, meet the coach, try a practice, see if this is the program for you!
Fee/monthly: Diamond, $45 Facility Members; $65 Program Members
Diamond (age 13-18) Mondays-Thursdays, 6:30 - 7:30 pm (practice up to 4 times/week)
Tae Kwon Do-Beginner/Intermediate
