We are excited to welcome you and your child into our School Age Programs! As the leading nonprofit for strengthening community, the Y is for youth development, nurturing confident, engaged kids today and healthy, contributing adults tomorrow.
We believe that every child should have the opportunities to pursue their dreams and reach their God-given potential. At the Y, children can discover who they are and what they can achieve through our School Age Programs. Through enrichment activities that can engage and inspire minds to connections with friends and mentors that can mold and shape relationships, there is so much more than play going on at the Y!
The YMCA is also expanding its longtime commitment to children and youth by adopting a set of Healthy Eating and Physical Activity Standards (HEPA). These standards will build a healthier future for our nation’s children by providing healthy environments rich in opportunities for healthy eating and physical activity. The Y is one of the nation’s largest providers of childcare and afterschool programs. Now we want to be the healthiest.
YMCA School Age Programs provides programming for children Pre-K through 8th grade during the hours when there may be no supervision in the home. The program is conducted by trained YMCA staff that serve as positive role models while engaging children in healthy activities that focus on the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Your child will be involved in crafts, sports, indoor and outdoor games, snack time, homework time, and other creative activities that help them learn, grow, and thrive. There is flexibility to accommodate various age groups and support all of our children enrolled. The YMCA maintains the highest standards of safety to ensure that your child’s well-being is in good hands.
